The Magic circle is the metaphorical space you enter when you engage with a piece of fiction. When you willingly let go of the boundary between reality and fiction, and go along for the ride.

Participation is the strongest way of entering the magic circle**.** This is the reason why games, interactive exhibits and even live music give you the feeling that you have been transported to a different world.

If you’d like to make the magic circle in the work that you do to be stronger, look at your work and ask, ****at what points will the audience’s spell be broken . When will they be reminded of something that is not of this world. Then eliminate those.

Why do you think movie titles have a unique title font? One that is coherent with the theme of the movie. Imagine a fantasy story but the title is written in Helvetica. Wouldn’t that feel like a parody of itself?
